Every year, pediatricians are increasingly sounding the alarm: the number of healthy children is steadily decreasing. However, it is not surprising if we recall our own childhood and compare it with how modern preschoolers and schoolchildren spend their time. We spent almost all free time in the open air, with friends, playing mobile games, and now we hear noises in the yard, only if we live near a kindergarten. The modern child often gets his first tablet before he can go to school. In developing games and cartoons, of course, there is nothing wrong, but they can not replace the child of outdoor games with friends.

But moving pictures on the screen are mesmerizing, and now the baby by the ears will not be drawn from the smartphone or computer, because it requires much less effort than moving games. Therefore, the main thing is not to miss the moment. The body of a small child is simply created for movement, he quickly learns anything, and most importantly - for the time being he is practically not afraid of anything. Remember how he learned to walk: have you seen so much persistence among adults? Pre-school children easily master any activity: swimming, roller skates, scooter, gymnastics, martial arts, dancing ... But if the child starts to comprehend all this too late, then it will be almost as difficult for him as an adult, and in the same way he will have to force himself or, rather, you will have to). And as you grow older, the problem will only worsen.

So the question "when?" Is the only true answer is this: the earlier, the better. After all, practice shows that you can teach a child to swim much earlier, rather than walk, because it's easier for him, and skates and rollers for children get up most quickly if they learn to ride them simultaneously with the development of walking.

So, what do you need to do to interest your child in physical education and sports?

Start the morning with charging. Even a two-to-three-year-old with great pleasure will repeat simple exercises for you, especially if you turn it into a fun game. You can use familiar images of animals or his favorite characters - for example, to play in the seal and repeat his movements: to bend the back, pull out alternately "paws", gracefully resemble ... Cheerful rhythmic music will add to the charge of enthusiasm.
Show a personal example. If you manage your baby sitting on the couch, it is unlikely that he will remain enthusiastic for a long time. With a preschooler you need to play, and the child's accustoming to physical culture and sports is also directly concerned. If the whole family starts the morning with a charge, the kid will want to do the same at any price.
To give sports gifts. Bicycle, scooter, roller skates, skipping rope, skis, a Swedish wall, a ball - the more choices you give the child, the easier it will be to find sports fun to taste. Initially, kids are equally interested in almost everything, but to the school they can already form quite specific preferences. And then he himself will be able to choose specific sports equipment to his liking.
To equip a sports corner in the nursery. Or a sports ground, if you're lucky enough to live in a private house. In such a place, the desire to run, jump and climb will arise in the child involuntarily.
Try to write the child in the sports section. Of course, it is worth considering his inclinations, especially if they are expressed. If the girl is enchanted watching the dancers, if she is ready to dance endlessly to the music she likes, and nature has not deprived her of a sense of rhythm - where it would be more logical to send her to the dance than to tennis lessons. Even if her parents always dreamed of doing great tennis, but they never had a chance.
Take the baby out into the countryside. With proper skill even in the hike, you can take with you a child of almost any age, most importantly - to watch that he does not get tired too much. In nature he does not want to sit still when there is so much interesting around. You will only have to monitor its safety. And if you come up with active developing games for the child, the better. Children memorize such trips for a long time and usually immediately begin to ask for one more.
Teach the child and his friends the games of his childhood. Previously, the younger guys learned everything from the elders, but now the elders mainly spend time behind the screens of mobile devices. Therefore, without the help of the parents here can not do. Children love to listen to the stories of moms, dads, grandparents about their childhood, so why not show the most fun of your childhood memories in practice? And let your child necessarily connect to the fun of his friends - perhaps you will be able to revive in his yard the old traditions of gay moving games.

If the child shows interest in sports competitions, encourage it. For example, if he is keen on watching hockey with his father, then you can visit the hockey match with the whole family and discuss with the child what you saw. Or even give him skates and a stick if his interest seems serious to you.
Playing together. You can play volleyball with the whole family, go to the pool or do yoga. Even if you do not talk about health, it brings together much more than watching TV together.
It is important to remember that for a preschooler the best form for any activity is a game. Engage in something boring you will only force him with a fight. But if the child manages to be interested, then everything goes on by itself.

The question of whether to give the child to professional sports should be discussed separately. You should understand that from this moment your child's childhood will actually end. In addition, professional sports are about achievements, about overcoming oneself, but not about health. Therefore, it is worth while to think and weigh all the pros and cons before making a decision to raise a champion from your kid.
