The welcoming party of steemit

I’d like to think that after several months since the platform’s launch, you’d think it would draw in more people wanting to make it a better social media. Nope. Didn’t happen and any introduction post ever made with a tag #introduceyourself would surely have a bot commenting an automated response. Bots run the place and it’s not really making things any better for real users who’d want genuine welcomes from the community.

(Dati 2-3 lang yung bot na nagcomment na masaya silang nakapagregister ka sa steemit at mas maraming taong tunay na nagtatype ng welcome message. Ngayun halos di mo na makikit ang sincerity ng isang welcoming message. Kahit nice post nga nagdududa kana kung pambobola lang at pabibo ang lahat.)

What has this place turned into? Not really sure what to make of it. It is what the people make of it and damn it is complicated. You got several communities with diverse advocacy but we all can agree that these advocacy need some steem power to back it up.

(Medyo matamis pakinggan na tumatag ng grupo para ma promote ang ganitong mga manunulat, pintor, o kababayan pero kadalasan di naman na tutupad dahil ningas kugon or kawalan ng gana dahil walang pabibo powers (SP) para makagawa ng pagbabago.)

I wish there was an automated welcoming bot that would tell you a crash course what Steemit is and an algorithm to lead a specific user to where to go after posting their introduction post. Are you an artist? Here’s a link to a prominent community that you could try getting involved and etc somewhere along those lines. Because it helps people getting a decent head start of where to get connections than spend days to weeks trying to get a feel of the platform for some visibility.

(Maraming nasasayang na oras sa pagpapabibo sa mga maling grupo. Kung musika yung hilig mo, mahirap naman makipag usap sa kapwa na yung interest ay hindi related sa trip mo diba? Pwede ka nga makisama sa mga normal na bagay pero aminin nalang natin na mas ok kung alam mo na kung saang server ng discord kana pupunta at makipaghalubilo.)

Right now we have too many welcoming bots and hardly any organic user commenting genuine welcomes. I highly doubt the recent increases in account registration are real humans. They are probably faucet accounts trying to game the reward pool.

(Pag bago ka palang sa platform, expect mo nalang na yung mga mag wewelcome sayo ay totoong kaibigan mo nag recommend sayo o mga taong umaasang maging follower ka nila at ma upvote mo sila.)
