Raining Here Today So Working On The Small House.
It is raining here today and will probably be raining tomorrow also, so we cannot get outside to work in the garden or get the barrels cut and others things in the garden done. So what do we do we work on the small house. We are just about done with the painting of the walls and ceiling in the bathroom. I will go in tomorrow and do some touch ups on the wall and we have to finish painting the cabinet.
We will then be going into getting the trim done and getting the water heaters on the walls and get them along with the other plumbing finished up. There is nothing as boring as watching paint and joint compound dry. We are going one room at a time as it is easier for us to do, as we still have stuff in there to move around to do a room. When one room is done then everything can be moved into that room and we can move along much faster,I hope so anyway.
The ceiling looks great all painted, I think we will find another way to texture all the other ceilings, it will be some of the same processes just mixing the joint compound a little thinner. I did some more looking into it and they said it was supposed to be like pancake batter. We had it a little thicker than that and I think that is what took so long to do the texture this time. We will let you know when we get to do that again and how it goes.
Like I said in a prior post we will be saving all of the SBD for our posts to help get us a truck. We have been saving it and so far we have 12.460 in SBD. Thank you for all the upvotes and the comments and the resteems, as all of this helps us to make SBD to get the truck we so desperately need here on our little place in the woods. Any help is greatly appreciated. Hope everyone has a great night/day, whatever it is in your neck of the woods.
Doing a lot of work around my house as well! Tonight's project will be recaulking around the outside of the windows! Then tomorrow will be to prime and paint around those windows!
I will be putting in some windows in the near future. Caulking is another one of those messy things to do sometimes. No matter what it ends up where you did not expect to be.
Ran out of time last night and was only able to finish 6 windows, still have 3 to do. Yeah I really do not like caulking of any kind! Not hard just messy!
Yeah, I know! We are done with messy now for the area of the small house we are on. Now it is dirty under the house we go.
