Day 20: 5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: Red

Why Red Day, I think it was Thursday,(old week name), but for me did it really matter what day it was. I was retired, I did not care if it was blueday, bloodday, pinkday or wetday. There really was only one important day for me, and even that was not that important, and that was payday. Not a real important day, after all my check was directly deposited in a nice safe account. So today, was redday, or at least from the view of my lawn chair it was redday.

The newest president decided to change all the days of the week, he chose blueday as the first day of the week because everyone hated the old mondays. He followed up with bloodday, he said that statistically speaking more people died on the old tuesday than any other day of the week, so bloodday was borne.

He had the funniest reasoning for pinkday, he said no one ever thought of wednesdays of old as humpday anymore because to many men started to wear pink panties. That reason for a name change really cracked me up when I heard it. Wetday, because he said the that we were becoming a nation of dirty slothful peoples and that anyone that did not have wet hair between the hours of 6:30-7:30am were to be arrested and forced to wash their hair, the president had a real hardon about dirty hair.

Passionday, the president thought that since the pink panty party ruined wednesday, he would steal fridays, and make it the official day of passion, though he cautioned everyone to wait til getting home.
