¡Hello my friends! 🙋

Happy weekend everyone. In this new occasion I want to share the experience of my first week as an intern in the most important Telecommunications company in the country, called CANTV (Compañía Anónima Nacional Teléfonos de Venezuela), it is the main provider of telephone service and Internet connection, therefore, what better place to learn for a Telecommunications Engineer intern that this company.

I am currently finishing my career in Telecommunications Engineering and had the opportunity to enter as an intern to this prestigious company (the main cause of headaches for many) along with my friends @rafaamendozaa, Angelica and Paola (They still do not have an account) , in the central located in the downtown area of the city of Maracay.

In the 1st week passed my friends and I were assigned to the Central Distribution Room of Switching, in this place are the equipments t that distribute the telephone lines of certain sectors of the central area of the city, or rather they handle the lines of most of the subscribers (users) of the center.

it is known that in recent years the company has presented continuous failures in telephony and Internet services in general, and it should be noted that many of the breakdowns are in the current room where we are, therefore we must resolve the reports made by the users.

It is clear that the most common in this room are the copper pair cables. They travel almost the entire room to get from one point to another.

Some of our works are based on assembling new lines up to replace the Internet service, making use of certain tools and techniques.

We also had the opportunity to visit a place called La Fosa, it is the underground head of the station and from here all the cables that go to the rest of the city, such as houses, shops or another centrals.

Without anything else to say, I hope that all these experiences in my internships will help me to reinforce the knowledge acquired in the university and give me enough skill in the area of telephony which catches my attention and I would like to specialize.
