Global Shared Container Platform(GSCP)

Hi, friends today I'm going to introduce another amazing project by Blockshipping company which is based in Denmark. They are developing a Blockchain based platform which called “ Global Shared Container Platform”(GSCP) which is facilitating handling and transport of containers. First of all, I would like to summarize the importance of this concept.

Why we need a platform like Global Shared Container Platform (GSCP)?

I can categorize the major problems of the current container transportation industry as below,

1. Communication Gaps-
   Communication is key and an almost vital part of the industry. Similarly, communication about a shipment from business to business or port to port is also vital for ensuring a smooth and trustworthy service. In a world where constant tracking updates are common and customers like to know everything that is happening with their shipments at every stage of the journey.

2. Security issues -
   A single delivery could go from a local trucker to a warehouse, then from the warehouse through to another truck to take it to a port and so on. It can pass through upwards of five or six pairs of hands in long-distance shipments. So its very important to keep/secure security of shipments throughout the journey.

3. Lack of capacity -
   As the volume of shipments increases, space and capacity available decreases, which can ultimately halt and cause problems for companies that might have a high volume of shipping containers to send. It can mean late deliveries if there is no room available on a ship.

4. Infrastructure problems -
   Infrastructure problems are especially prevalent in developing countries where delivery volumes are increasing, but the ports simply can’t take the volume.

GSCP going to address above major issues by making container assets registry with real-time locations. With the purpose of obtaining an optimal combination of high scalability, undisputed security, maximum control, privacy & flexibility, and low transactions and energy costs the GSCP platform will be built on a private blockchain. They planned to achieve 60% market coverage/16 million container units within 3-4 years and become a primary platform which manages containers/ transactions while reducing costs for the global shipping industry to the tune of USD 5.7bn annually and reduce the global CO2 emission by more than 4.6 million tons every year.

Initial Coin Offering (ICO) -

GSCP platform is already funded by private angels, and The Danish Maritime Fund (www.dendanskemaritimefond.dk). They are conducting ICO to raise the rest of the funds which need for project development. This is the first ever ICO based on Denmark and among the top-rated icos of 2018.

Conclusion-

Global Shared Container Platform”(GSCP) is the blockchain based world’s first freight container registry and the first global platform allowing all players in the shipping industry to perform a wide range of transactions related to the handling of containers.
