INTRODUCTION

The world has increased in population greatly over some few decades now with a value of about 7.442 billion which was recorded in the year 2016. Your guess is as right as mine that this number has also increased quite a bit in this year and nobody can really say specifically how this happens, but the number of people that come into the world exceeds far more than those who leave us. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t wish to see everybody die but this gradual increase in population growth has outweighed the number of job opportunities out there for us. This has left so many people unemployed and engaging in all sorts of social vices such as prostitution, armed robbery, drug trafficking etc. Many of the victims of these social vices don’t find themselves in there because they wish to but financial difficulties sometimes become unbearable that “A man has to do what he can do to survive”.

Along the line there have been several solutions and suggestions to support our major corporate institutions and companies in order to reduce the unemployment rate in our world. This idea was phenomenal as it brought about the direction of Entrepreneurship and the development of Small and Medium Scale Enterprises. These initiations by governments was a laudable idea but though I really don’t like to say this, but what is a great project without funds to establish. It just remains in documents and people still continue to suffer.

CHALLENGES FACING THE SMALL AND MEDIUM SCALE ENTERPRISES

Difficulty in the Securing of Start-up Capital

The establishment of any company being it small or big needs to make sure that they satisfy certain laid down conditions as stated by the Central Bank of that very nation and one of these conditions is to have some substantial amount as a start up capital in the name of the company to shield itself against any unforeseen circumstances. The Central Banks do this to ensure that companies that are established have enough funds to operate their business so that people don’t lose their money if they invest in such businesses.

Almost every country has its own amount that Small and Medium Scale Enterprises (SMEs) have to acquire in order to start operations but sometimes it is very unfortunate that the required amount that has been set by our Central Banks are quite high, that these SMEs are not able to raise such amount to start its operation. Sometimes they resort to financial institutions that offer loans but because of how low the assets of the company is worth, these financial institutions also become reluctant in giving them a helping hand.

Even though some SMEs have very brilliant innovative project that they want to put into motion because of how difficult securing funds to start operations become, these projects have now become white elephant.

I am sure it is off a good intention that Small and Medium Enterprises go through these administrative check-ups, just to certify their authenticity about whatever business project they want to establish. There have been several cases in many countries where some fraudsters set up business which only last for months after they abscond with the hard-earned monies of innocent individuals. I am not speaking against all these certification process that they put in place but I am much more concerned about how it is done and the short falls in the system. The long chain of these processes brings about increases the expenses that these SMEs have to bear even though they don’t have enough money to start up their business.

The disturbing part of this whole process is operated manually which brings about a whole lot of discrepancies in the data collected about these upcoming companies.

THE SOLUTION ARKRATOS OFFERS

The blockchain technology is now admired by several coporate organizations with some who have already inculcated it unto their platforms because of its how secured and decentralized it is making several people have access to information on a platform but unable to alter any information without authorization.
