Forest Knight Early Access Impressions
Forest Knight is an Enjin mobile turn based strategy game where you can find NFT items. It is a simple game turned into an interesting one because it has blockchain items which you can sell on Enjin markets or Melt them into Enjin tokens. Forest Knight is in early access so the game is not quite finished, but it is good enough to play just because you can find Enjin items, also it is completely free. You only need Enjin wallet to connect to the game where the game will store your blockchain items. You can also play the game without Enjin wallet, but of course it is better to have one for obvious reasons.
Basically this game is like a simplified version of chess where you control three warriors and you need to try to beat the enemy forces in turn based combat, the monsters are most of the time stronger than your team so you will have to find strong items in order to beat them. You can equip your warriors with basic weapons you can find while beating monsters, or you can buy them from ingame store, those items certainly can be helpful early on, the blockchain items however are more rare to find and are more impactful in later stages of the game. Here is an example of those blockchain items inside Enjin wallet.
The number is not very high because the game uses Food system to limit the possible play time to reduce the farming of Enjin items. Your limit is 40 food which regenerates during the day, every time you enter a dungeon you spend 5 food. Basically you can spend 120 Food daily, that translates into 24 dungeon entries per day. There are three more resources you can spend, gold for items shop and hero leveling, runes for leveling heroes, and gems to buy rare items, gold and heroes. Every one of those resources can be obtained during your dungeon runs.
There is also a PvP arena where you can test your strategy skills and brand new blockchain items against human opponents. That part of the game is still under development, so there are no rewards implemented if you win. You won't make a big buck by playing Forest Knight but it can be a sweet casual game that can show you the endless potential of blockchain gaming. You can find the game and Enjin wallet on google play store if you're interested.
I've not even ventured into Enjin platform yet. Nice to see some interesting stuff come out of there.
Since Enjin platform opened it's marketplace suddenly all those items you collected before can be traded, before you could only melt them, this is my 3rd Enjin game and it is definitely getting more interesting with trading involved.
