The First Truly Decentralized IP Sharing Exchange

Data is said to be the new gold of our times. Words like Exabyte and Zettabyte will become more and more common in the database community. At the backbone of Data Mining and Data Science processes lies a large volume of IPs for the actors involved into the mining process. By substantially lowering the price of IPs and solving the IPs accessibility and availability problems IPSX is targeting to become a key building factor for all the fields that require a larger or smaller volume of IPs that allow complex applications to become more accessible to everyone.

The Big (I)Picture

IPSX comes from IP Sharing Exchange. IPSX will be a core component for the next layer of the web. Alongside distributed storage and processing tools, IPSX will create the distributed network layer.

The IPs can be used to complete different tasks requiring one or more IPs from different locations. Today, IP addresses are valuable assets with low liquidity levels due to the lack of a simple solution to share/rent IPs based on a specific list of filters. IP resources are supplied by centralized providers who are constrained by private networks, proprietary payment systems, non-profitable fees, inadequate infrastructure.

The First Level

Individuals or full on Data centers will be able to share their stock device’s IP address online to win real-time IPSX tokens safely. (All connections will be logged on to the blockchain). As a client, you will be able to access in real time different classes of IPs from all around the world and use them for as short as 5 seconds to a whole month depending on your budget and needs.

The Second Level

IPSX ( https://ip.sx ) will create a framework and a marketplace that allow any business and service providers to build custom-made applications that require a large volume of IPs based on our SDK and APIs. For example, as a VPN provider, you would be able to integrate your system with our SDK to let your clients choose from millions of IPs from all around the world. Thus providing the opportunity for a more curated service to those in need of more custom options.

Stats about the token sale

Token symbol: IPSX Token
type: ERC-20
Hard cap: 10 800 ETH
Tokens for 1 ETH: 70588.23529
Token sale date: 28-Feb-18
Percentage of Tokens available for sale: 50%
Project status: In progress of integration with blockchain
Accepted currencies: ETH

The Company anticipates using 495 million IPSX Tokens over time to incentivize strategic partners (VPN Providers, Data Centers, Data Acquisition and Custom Data Mining companies) to join and use the IPSX Network ecosystem. Over time, the primary goal is to reach broader participation created by these incentive-based grants that will result in a worldwide coverage for the IPSX blockchain.

IPSX being a utility token it will be used for various transactions among actors inside the IPSX ecosystem. Also, it will be used as governance when the framework for building new applications will be in full effect in the later stages of the project implementation.

This sounds like a very practical and useful tech. I can see how there would be a market for this with users for a variety of reasons. One that stands out to me is the restrictions that are put on users when online from certain IP's. You are often bound to the country's restrictions from which your IP originates. This means that just because you are from a certain location you have restricted access to content. I can't count the number of times I have had conversations with people about their frustrations regarding the fact that they are unable to access the same content as everyone else. Even when they are willing to pay for the content. A great example of this is Netflix. Netflix has restrictions on what content is provided to you based on where you live. Being from Canada there are many shows that are available to American Netflix viewers but not to Canadians. We pay the same price for the service but have reduced content. I'm not sure if this is due to the CRTC, the governing body for television and radio in Canada or if it is merely a choice by Netflix. I know that many people often purchase and use IP's from different area in order to access this content. I will be watching as this project develops. Thanks for sharing.

This has been the problem with services like Netflix in quite a few countries. They wouldn't even provide the popular movies because they were in the "wrong" geographic location. IPSX comes with a great solution though.

Do they have a major partners signed up to use their tech? I will be researching this more. Thank you bringing a whole new idea to me. Keep up the great posts!
