I live in Nigeria together with my uncle, my uncle is a photographer for more than 10 years, he has a photo studio in our area. The challenges he is facing in his bussiness is lack of customers because only a limited people at specific time are buying photos from him. that is why the business remain unprogressing. Last year (kano state photographers association) conducted a seminar to find the solution for the problems That affect their business. During the seminar, they were auriented to register with STOCK PHOTOGRAPHY to maximize the number of their customers.
My uncle registered with (GETTY IMAGES), and he is one of the content creators that license beutiful images of Africa to this marketplace. But recently it was discovered that the revenue content creators receives for their content(photos) in such platforms, is just a fraction of the ideal content licensing price.
