RE: SmartContainers - Disrupting The Logistics Industries With Blockchain
Are there already some partnerships announced? Since we are talking about logistics I assume that having strong partnerships and being able to convince them to use SmartContainers will be essential for the success of this project.
And my second question is if it's not possible to just have the old GPS tracking method for not losing the containers? I think blockchain will allow you to track it in real time and the traditional way would maybe update every few minutes or hours (just as we see tracking in the postal service). But is this necessary?
Great questions @sebo58
For your first question regarding partnerships. I haven't heard of any yet, but they will be announced soon I'm guessing. Having already two established and fast growing companies such as SkyCell and Food Guardians almost already guarantees upcoming partnerships.
For your second question. Sure GPS as a tracking method is still possible to use in my opinion. But having IoT sensors on the other hand, which come with a way better technology can be more profitable on the long run. IoT sensors can additionally to real time tracking also measure data like heat and provide many more accurate data on the product and containers. With further development IoT sensors seems to be the all-in-one solution for essential data retrieval.
