ABOUT THE PROJECT
Cryptogene's mission is to provide blockchain-based solutions, especially for African countries. The project targets Africa as its primary base and seeks to create better integration and development using the plethora of advantages the blockchain technology offers. We intend to bring cryptocurrency and blockchain technology mainstream on the continent.

Cryptogene is building a hub which would bring blockchain technology mainstream in Africa through education, awareness creation, and implementation of blockchain-based services. This, the Cryptogene project aims to achieve through the application and use of blockchain tools by producing quality products and end-user services valuable to enthusiastic and engaged individuals.
BACKGROUND
Cryptogene was founded mid-December 2016 as a Telegram community where people of all nationalities converge to share useful, verifiable information regarding cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology. It expanded further to accommodate interests on building valuable and problem-solving cryptocurrency solutions using the blockchain technology.
With emerging trends in the global cryptocurrency space, there was the need to improve, engage and take problem-solving outside of the vicinity of online community group chat. Creating more public awareness, developing, and managing the public perception of the technology as well as a faster integration into daily lives became paramount.
BLOCKCHAIN MULTI-PLATFORM HUB
Cryptogene aims at a multi-platform hub that enables learning, usage and development of blockchain tools for individual purposes as well as organisations. The Cryptogene project will be tokenized so as to keep the interest aroused in the hearts of users. CGT will be the base currency.
PROJECTS
The Cryptogene team will continually work to provide various use cases for the CGT token. However, our initial use cases include:
Digest
A wiki-like blockchain platform for knowledge sharing. It will serve as a well-structured platform for bridging the gap between the professionals and newbies in blockchain void of much technicalities
blockMart
Allows users to list their items for sale. And connects buyers and sellers. This is targeted at entrepreneurs and retailers who would accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment for their goods and services
Havene
A system where currencies and other digital assets can be exchanged with cryptocurrencies without the traditional barrier of borders. The Cryptogene Token will serve as the base currency for this exchange
Spiel
A social media platform useful for communication or inviting members to organized social events. It would be similar to bitcoin talk forums but tokenized. This would be the advanced phase of the parent cryptogene telegram group
Silk
Allows members to share their blockchain ideas and get crowd-funded for a start-up. Also, developers and other related service providers could pledge their involvement if the owner of the idea requests such. Another interesting feature is the ability for a member to post a concept and let the idea be developed by community members by brainstorming. The participating members then become stake-holders in the project after a proof-of-idea has been verified. Silk comes with a voting mechanism that enables individuals who stake the platform’s token have a degree of vote to implement a project.

We waiting for feedback
After having been a victim of scam, I am very skeptical about cryptogene. Case in point is the billion coin (TBC) scam that was promoted by very many Nigerians. (I wasn't a victim of TBC though, but of a few other scams). My response to the fellow, @stevenomole, who was trying to sell the idea of cryptogene to me is ''I will wait until it is listed on https://coinmarketcap.com/ and now I'm adding the phrase - traded on exchanges. Personally, I have done my search about this so called ''cryptogene'' since the last couple of weeks and discovered that there is even no website where people can get information, only nairaland and that is not a website. and whitepaper. Alright, now I see a website with whitepaper attached. Well, anybody can easily open a twitter, telegram, slack, blog accounts and even a website. Only time will tell and probably make me change my present opinion of cryptogene.
This is a legit project, before casting aspersions I'll suggest that you do your due diligence. Do your own thorough research and make constructive criticism based on fact on the project.
Your tone sound biased about cryptogene, the least you could do is observe from a distance.
Equating or trying to draw a parallel with TBC project being peddled by frauds just because the CEO of Cryptogene is a Nigerian is the dangers of generalization. Now because one or two Nigerians are scammers doesn't make 200 million others frauds.

Mrs favour...i was scammed too and this that u called So called..as been a blessing to everyone on that platform...how much were u scammed of?..when u read about it u will see when this was formatted...not even up to a year and all this wonderful things have been put to place..dont miss out because its really gonna be huge and nothing can stop us.
Hello Mary. I can understand your skepticism. But I must confess that I find it offensive that you draw similarities of this project to tbc.
Cryptogene has been in existence for quite some time. And we've done a lot of work to change people's mindset from ponzi and other unproductive uses of cryptocurrency to more useful and problem solving ones. Please take your time to go through the white paper and website. Its not just a coin, it is a revolution coming to Africa. Cheers!
