Blockchain technology adoption is still in its infant stage in terms of adoption. There are so many industries that blockchain will disrupt. What the public knows about blockchain is the general definition, which is "blockchain is a public ledger" that keeps records of cryptocurrency transactions. Others know blockchain to be a technology that cannot be hacked.

Blockchain is all these and more. Blockchain is a decentralized public ledger that runs on a global network of computer users. The transactions recorded on blockchain cannot be manipulated or corrupted, making it 99.9% (if not 100%) safe .

All transactions on the blockchain are encrypted and each day new blocks created. Transactions are stored in blocks and new blocks are linked to their previous blocks. This linking of different blocks that holds records of transactions form what is called CHAIN. That is why it is called blockchain because it is a chain of blocks or blocks chained together.

5 ways in which blockchain will disrupt this world.

There are so many blockchain solutions out there but I don't want to list all, I just want to list 5 disruption that I'm looking forward to seeing.

1. Daily transactions moving from banks.

I live in a country where people see the government as king of kings and lord of lords. The government run and control the economy with policies that devalues our Naira and scare people away from blockchain technology and cryptocurrency.

Our people need to know about cryptocurrency and most especially this currency called "STEEM" that has no government control and has a transaction speed of 3 secs built on algorithm that cannot be corrupted.

Steem is currently the most active blockchain on earth right now and for this and other reasons, I think STEEM is really really undervalued.

According to the screenshot above, steem blockchain is the most active blockchain with a daily transaction of 785,725Tx, steem beats BITCOIN, ETHEREUM and BITSHARES.

Countries with little or no good identification system tends to have more crimes and corruption than those who do. With no good ID record, people can commit crime and easily get away with it because they can't be tracked.

Almost all services are online except political online voting services. You may think they don't know about it yet, but we know they do. Blockchain technology is the solution to transparent and fair election.

4. REAL ESTATE

Blockchain can easily solve the problem of buying, selling and leasing properties. Let's use steemit to explain how it can be done.
