I think the whole configuration is the enabler; I mean I understand that light nodes exist even in bitcoin and here it is implemented with other consideration related to IoT but the whole setup is quite interesting for IoT.
The whole concept of breaking the network down and having it able to scale from large full nodes down to lite nodes is what makes the concept so good, as IOT devices will vary based on the type of hardware the person has.
