Blockchain startup Shift has accused Apple of stealing the logo.
Blockchain startup Shift, which is engaged in creating websites, accused Apple of stealing the logo. The company claims that the logo of the new Apple Shortcuts function is very similar to the color design of the shift logo. The startup requires Apple to either change the logo or pay compensation in the amount of $200000.
Apple announced the Shortcuts app on Monday at the WWDC. It will be available on iPhone in September with iOS 12. The app allows users to create their own commands for voice control of Siri virtual assistant.
A Shift spokesperson said: "it's incredible that Apple, the company with the largest cache in history that is so design-oriented, has copied our logo»
Apple logo Shortcuts consists of two stacked square with curved edges: top — orange-violet, bottom — blue. Form a figure eight. The official Shift logo is also a figure of eight, but from hard squares. This time blue on top and purple on the bottom.
There are some similarities between the two logos, but it seems unlikely that someone would confuse them.
