PROVOCO: It‘s not just about challenges
Feedback from the PROVOCO community showed that most people understand the project in a different way to how the team envisages it. This led PROVOCO to make some important updates that will help the community to see the project from a wider perspective.
The three pillars of PROVOCO
PROVOCO CEO Andrius Kontrimavicius says that people usually see PROVOCO as a challenge app for creating, accepting and completing challenges, after which rewards are given in cryptocurrency. The community also sees PROVOCO as an app for creating a lot of entertaining content for others to watch. Although challenges are at the center of PROVOCO, they are only part of it and do not alone show the huge size and potential of the project. As you can see in the diagram, challenges are in the number-one priority, but what about the second and third pillars?
The second pillar shows the team’s ambition to become a global social network, with a lot engagement like Facebook or Instagram have. The team envisages it as the most engaging social network, like a cross between Snapchat and YouTube. Engagement will come from the concept based on challenges, ranging from daily micro-challenges to macro-challenges that could have a positive impact in the real world. Although the project is at a very early stage, it might become one of the top social networks, and eventually have more than 500 million users.
The third pillar highlights PROVOCO’s goal to create a positive impact for the whole world through the community. Firstly, with the help of macro-challenges, organizations such as the United Nations or UNICEF will be able to engage with more people either to collect charity donations or unite the community for individual activities (such as conserving natural resources), helping to address the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Secondly, through PROVOCO , general members of the public can raise issues and contribute to solving them — with some issues hardly noticed by big companies. Take a look at the details on the SDGs:
