Japan Flooding / Landslides Leaves 176 Dead Since July, 7th 2018
According to local reporters across Japan in areas like Kyoto, Saga, Hiroshima, Kochi, Shiga, and Gifu, more than 10" of rainfall came down on Japans land in approximately a 2-hour window on the 7th of July. Since then, massive amounts of rain have led to severe landslides and flooding in residential areas. More than 1 million people have been forced to evacuate their homes in search of safety. According to the Fire and Disaster Management Agency, more than 300 households have been devastated while more than 100,000 have endured severe flooding.
