Golem will launch its new Brass Beta version on Ethereum's main network!
Finally, the Golem development team, after almost 3 years since the project began, has been after a work project launching its Beta Mainnet version based on the Ethereum network.
On April 10 of this year, through an official statement, the Golem Project team, one of the first crowdfunded projects, launched on November 11, 2016, which through its initial presale process (ICO) achieved a collection of 820,000ETH which at that time were $ 8.5 million, which today is the equivalent of $350.000.000.
Demonstrated at that time the great interest of the community for this type of initiatives, which helped to promote this great project that promises a lot, despite all the adversities that the developer team has gone through; they remain firm and focused on their main objective, which is to achieve a network of computing power based on blockchain technology, thus being the first project in this category to offer a decentralized service.
This project initially launched as a kind ofAirbnb for computers, which seeks to create a “Giant Computer” in which users can offer or rent their computing power that they do not have in use and thus obtain rewards in GNT.
The developer team announced in its main blog, after thanking those who have kept working hard in the progress of it:
“We have come a long way. From being one of the first projects financed by crowdfunded, far beyond the challenges we had to face while navigating the unexplored territory that Golem is building, the time has come to take the big step: the launch of the mainnet is here.” - Read Article Here
In this way Golem Project decides to take a big step forward in the growth of the project based on the technology offered by the Ethereum network, launching this newDapp, in which users can use the application in the Ethereum mainnet, in this way users can use their Golem in their integrated portfolio and use the computing power provided by other users.
This beta version seeks to correct all errors that may exist, in this way the developer team will offer rewards of 500,000 GNT to distribute among users who can get bugs in it, distributing according to the severity of the bug.
A long way to go
This first release called GolemBrass which will focus on the rendering of 3D images, is only the beginning of the project establishing in the roadmap, followed by the second version of Clay Golem, then Stone Golem, and finally with Iron Golem. Looking for in each version to develop a Supercomputer that has greater processing and multifunction capabilities that will allow users or companies; develop large activities that require advanced processing powers.
