The Momentum Token Platform Integrates Loyalty Rewards + Blockchain (TECTUS Analysis)
MobileBridge Momentum is a global loyalty infrastructure that allows companies to integrate new or existing loyalty platforms into a crypto-based rewards system. These rewards can be spent, traded with other loyalty programs on the platform, or exchanged for MMTM tokens that can be converted to fiat via exchanges.
Below is a TECTUS analysis of the project, for a complete overview see my previous article here.
At first glance, the technology required by the Momentum Token Platform appears to be simple. However, there are two huge systems that are required to function alone and together. The teams plan to implement these systems is what may separate this platform from others.
The MobileBridge technology stack has some elements that are already built and functioning for the off-chain business. This includes data collection, analysis, and location-based notifications. The team will have to implement a blockchain based solution for data collection, access (via API) and purchase.
Secondly, the platform is introducing a token generation smart contract that will allow companies to create their own branded cryptocurrencies. This token generation contract may require elements of projects like Unibright, Fabric Token, or Simple Token to be built or integrated into the system.
These branded tokens are going to require a tech stack that allows them to be used a payment for goods and services. Most importantly branded tokens will require an exchange system that allows users to exchange these tokens for MMTM at any time.
The economics of the Momentum token platform are heavily tied to the token utility. There will be a total of 1 billion MMTM tokens generated and half are for sale.
The tokens will be mainly used for two functions. Companies will purchase MMTM to have access to customer data and to purchase services that target the "mobile moment" of their customers.
The tokens will be the medium of exchange for branded tokens that are created by companies for their customized loyalty programs. In essence, the flow will be:
- Companies by MMTM from the platform.
- Companies spend MMTM for services and to create branded tokens.
- Consumers earn branded tokens for their loyalty.
- Consumers exchange branded tokens for MMTM.
- Consumer offer MMTM for sale on exchanges.
The current competition for the Momentum token platform is differentiated between on and off-chain groups. The biggest threat from off-chain competitors is that large brands may choose to fully operate compartmentalized loyalty programs themselves as they have in the past.
On-chain competition is slim and consists of a small number of projects including Gatcoin, Sandblock, and BioCoin.
The idea behind the Momentum token platform is that an infinite number of loyalty programs can operate on its framework.
When a project has an already successful off-chain business it is sometimes difficult to judge them. This team has created a successful business in MobileBridge with large clients including Burger King (Whopper Coin).
The team is lead by the CEO Kees de Vos has 15 years’ global leadership experience in digital solutions and products, specializing in retail and digital commerce globally.
The team has rounded out its business, advertising, and marketing members with 18 blockchain and software 18 developers.
The token MMTM has multiple utilities, these are described below.
- Payment for data to customers and the platform from brands, data aggregators, etc.
- As a currency for the purchase of goods and services.
- As a loyalty reward.
- To exchange for other cryptocurrencies.
- Most importantly, to create branded tokens.
Branded tokens are tokens that brands can create that are tied to their loyalty program. For example, a coffee shop could make Latte Coin or a pizza shop could make Pizza Coin. These coins have unique utility as well.
- Earned as rewards.
- Payment for goods and services.
- Exchange for other branded tokens.
- Exchange for MMTM tokens.
As you can see the branded tokens can be used to buy things from specific places or traded with other loyalty tokens. If the end user wants to cash out of a loyalty program they will exchange their brand tokens to MMTM and eventually into the currency of their choice.
The product does not have a huge buzz around it as most of the FOMO has been surrounding projects that are introducing new blockchains with unattainable transaction speeds.
The public chat on telegram is somewhat active with solid moderation. Questions are answered quickly. The CEO of the project has conducted multiple interviews that are available for reading on the web and he has stayed visible throughout the presale process.

Creating an internal ecosystem with branded tokens is pretty cool. Is it going to have a mini exchange inside of it or more of a switcheroo type app?
