Review of Universa blockchain, one of the most prominent ICOs currently

Universa will be a business platform like Ethereum, Waves or NEO. They claim their full node will allow 20k transactions per second and their light client, that will be able to run on mobile devices, 300 transactions per second (100x more transactions than bitcoin). Since they have no product yet, I can't confirm or deny these claims.

They collected 17m$ so far, with some big names supporting them like Mcafee, who will launch his coin on Universa protocol. Their cap is set ambitiously at 5x what Ethereum gathered. There were several financial firms involved in their presale, so expect a few exits when the sale concludes (like ApexFree).

Universa will have a system where nodes process the smart contracts or transactions and pass them to the end users, there will be no mining. To run the network node you will have to undergo a strict selection process and if accepted you will get paid for your service with a percentage of the transaction fees. UTN (the universa token) will be used as a form of payment for services on the blockchain.

Alexander Borodich is the CEO, Sergey Chernov is the CTO. Their team is solid, there shouldn't be an issue of making good on their claims, the question is how will they compete with existing business platforms.
