yes, at one level it's all sooooo much simpler than it seems, but there's no point pretending that it should all be easy to understand.

it's all wrapped up in not knowing what you don't know. I don't know what you don't know either. I could point you to stuff, but I might not be any better at finding you meaningful content than a google search would be. doh!

I wrote this a couple of years ago: http://www.contributoria.com/issue/2015-09/559571713cb61f472f000034.html which some people said helped them. hmmm... it's a really annoying thing. And that's good, when I'm annoyed sometimes I fix things or find the things that people have already fixed the problem with that I didn't know about.
