Hospital Scrapping Computers for Paper Because of Cyber Attacks - Is Blockchain Technology Needed Right Now?

in #blockchain7 years ago (edited)

I feel like I've missed the bus on many new technologies. I've always been fascinated by computers and the power they have in our daily lives. I feel like I've always been able to spot new trends and possible ways to capitalize on them but I never do. I knew about Bitcoin from the start but never invested. Now that I'm older and well into my career I'm starting to learn about passive income and thinking about ways to boost my retirement funds. I feel like now is the time learn as much about blockchain technology as possible.

I read this article today about a West Virginia hospital that is scrapping computers because of cyber attacks.

I feel like if someone were to come in and rebuild their systems using blockchain technology that they would be able to avoid these problems. I still have much to learn about the technology, but I would love to spend the summer learning to write some code and create some small programs that could at the very least improve my life. I really want to learn as much as possible as quickly as possible so that I'm not sitting here one day reading about how blockchain is a technology that passed me by.

I'm still learning about it and for all I know maybe I'm wrong about the hospital being the perfect candidate for a blockchain overhaul, but I guess that's what I want to know from the readers. Am I right about this being the type of situation where blockchain would of prevented the problems the hospital is having?

Thank you! Do you have an opinion if this is the right situation for blockchain?

I'm not sure but I would like to find out.

Great post my friend. I only say one thing ... Welcome new world!
