Common Crypto Misconceptions and Explanations

The notion that crypto is backed by nothing is, for the layman, worrisome. That said, I don't really care that someone else is worried about how I am investing my money :p.

Rather, I am interested in what questions blockchain/crypto enthusiasts experience when talking about these topics. Additionally, have you found a succinct way to communicate; Blockchain, Crypto, Etherium, ect? If you had the opportunity to do an elevator pitch to an investor who had no idea about the topic, how would you explain it to them?
