Max Kaiser: Bitcoin Cash does not correspond with the idea of Satoshi Nakamoto
Recently, Max Kaiser said that Bcash's mistake is that the project focuses on transactions, while money is only part of a wider vision of Satoshi.
In his Twitter, he wrote that Bitcoin is changing the world by no means through the ability to make transactions. Bitcoin was not created in order to compete with Visa or SWIFT in terms of speed, cost and even confidentiality.
The idea is primarily in the available software, which involves free software launch, its study and modification, and the distribution of copies with or without changes.
Bitcoin is a free open source software that users around the world choose to run on their computers; nodes of the network will coordinate the current state without the involvement of any centralized organizations. This gives network members the freedom to install the right software, and this can be a powerful tool in the fight against corruption and censorship.
In other words, free transactions are not as important as the ability to make transactions in principle, without fear that at some point they can be turned off by any centralized company.
In this regard, Kaiser added that money is just a by-product of a larger phenomenon that replaces paid software, copyrights, patents and monopolies with free and affordable software.
Affordable software is free thinking.
It is known that the creator of bitcoin once released a project from his hands and gave it to people. Presumably, according to Satoshi's plan, bitcoin had to become an antidote to the unstable financial system, which was visibly shaken during the 2008 crisis.
Bcash is the fork of bitcoin, which appeared on August 1, 2017. Thanks to larger commission units, lower fees are due to increased throughput and on-chain scaling.
The counterargument is that increasing the block size is just a breather when the network is overloaded. Moreover, many experts believe that this approach will complicate the launch of the node by an ordinary user, which will lead to even greater centralization. This opinion was supported by Microsoft.
BitGo's developer Jameson Lopp noted that many of the Bcash nodes appear to be hosted on Alibaba servers in China, which confirms the thesis of a high degree of centralization.
Bitcoin is not supported by PR-managers and does not have a marketing budget aimed at its propaganda. Nevertheless, millions of people around the world continue to use bitcoin, despite the fact that it is slower and often more expensive than its crypto rivals.
This is because bitcoin technology allows users to send, receive, store and verify digital data without an intermediary, which provides some independence.
