Gigajoule - easy access to electricity
Currently, it is estimated that up to 2 billion people in the world do not have access to electricity, and this figure is increasing every year. This problem is more serious in countries such as Nigeria, where there is less power needed. In many developing countries where power transmission systems exist, generating electricity from power generation systems is expensive and inefficient. In addition to negative environmental attitudes, governments must provide subsidies in order to gain access and support the negative effects on their public finances and budgets. This problem wants to be solved by the Gigajoule team.
Gigajoule is a traditional electricity company. Traditional in nature means that Gigajoule uses ground-based power plants, but can compete or outperform other power plants in terms of efficiency, reliability and cost.
As with other developments in the energy market, the changes are mainly made within the borders of a nation-state, mainly where favorable rules and regulations contribute to the development of the renewable energy market. Renewable energy is a largely unpredictable source of energy. For this reason, the process of integrating renewable energy sources into the energy system significantly activates the data, offering challenges and opportunities to find innovative solutions for calculating, registering, forecasting and smoothly integrating renewable energy sources to produce cleaner energy.
Gigajoule do their project because they see a negative impact on the environment and the financial or state budget, because the government often needs to apply subsidies to make it affordable, even if there are many developing countries that rely on power transmission systems, to rely on expensive and inefficient electricity generation systems. For example, in Nigeria, despite the fact that they receive a lot of natural gas as raw materials, less than half of their population has access to a stable electricity supply. Therefore, Gigajoule makes it a very profitable project for some people in the world. which makes power generation more efficient, reliable and affordable.
Gigajoule working principle
The first use of the blockchain to overcome this problem is its ability to support records, peer-to-peer connections, and token generation. Using the blockchain, notes on the exchange of energy can be direct, using a unique key from the grid of participants. Payment events can also occur immediately, and transaction records can be locked in blocks that cannot be changed. As for interaction and payments through the blockchain, events can occur almost simultaneously, which eliminates the need to correlate data.
Each transaction cannot be continued due to the fact that the use of complex encryption eliminates the need to trust regulators or people. Each transaction will be tracked and searched because the blockchain is not completely anonymous and may be anonymous to track energy. Theoretically, the connections in the networks with the block chain will display the actual grid and the connections between producers and consumers - or “prosumers”, as they were called, because they are on both sides of the energy equation.
Floating power plants using SGT-A65 engines have several important advantages:
- Location flexibilityTwo SGT-A65s are mounted on a floating barge, thus creating a complete mobile propulsion system.
- A much smaller footprint is required than for land-based power plants. This provides many options for locating FPPs as close as possible to gas supply and local infrastructure for evacuating electricity.
- Ownership of FPPs is always maintained. These assets can be deployed on other sites, if necessary.
- The speed of manufacture, installation and commissioning is faster and easier than that of ground-based counterparts.
- Gigajoule floating power plants will be assembled at Appledore Shipyard UK with an indoor dry dock allowing production throughout the year.
- After the floating power station arrives at the deployment site on a heavy ship, it will be connected to the gas supply and mains in a relatively short time.
- Simultaneous creation of ground infra structures for FPS units, dock, gas pipelines, substations and power lines.
- The savings from scaleFPP modules are deployed in groups of four per site, although this can be increased or decreased depending on requirements
- In a typical deployment configuration, eight SGT-A65 modular generator sets in operation mean that maximum availability can always be maintained for a typical twenty-year life.
