Blockchain investing

I, like most of us am new to the crypto space. To stay aware I am on Coinbase frequently checking the progression of Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. Furthermore, In an attempt to learn as much as possible I've basically started surrounding myself with like minded individuals eagerly diving into crypto and investing in general. As a result, upon further research I'm learning more about the network these four currencies are ran on (the Blockchain) and that is what I am interested in more than any of the currencies themselves. That being said, I'm sure most if not all of the users on this forum have heard something about the Blockchain considering this very site is ran on Blockchain technology.

Post purpose

My purpose for creating this post is two-tier. Firstly, I would like to know if anyone is invested in any blockchain stocks other than RIOT and ACN? If so, could you please share any information that you think would be useful. Next, I would like to know if investing in crypto is the same as investing in the Blockchain? To clarify let me explain. Based on my understanding investing in the Blockchain gives you ownership equity and allows you to position yourself for significant gains as more asset classes are built on the network. Is buying crypto the same? Do I get that same equity in the blockchain or am I simply investing in the coin that is being offered?
