Overview of the functionality and interface of the multi-currency wallet Atomic Wallet
A few days ago we met the Atomic Wallet project, which is a multi-currency wallet with the possibility of exchanging coins through the Atomic Swap and the built-in exchange. Now it's time to review the wallet itself, become familiar with its functionality, interface and highlight the benefits.
Interface and functionality Atomic Wallet
Now let's take a closer look at the functionality and interface of this wallet-exchange. We start with registration - we will not dwell much on this point, everything is fairly standard, BUT it is very simple, much easier than registering with Metamask, and all the more easier and faster is the registration in the wallets of the platforms themselves.
- Click on New Wallet;
- Next, set a strong password and save;
- Be sure to save the newly generated 12 words for the future recovery of the wallet, click on Start using Atomic.
That's all - we went to the interface and immediately see our addresses on the main blockchain platforms. Here I will immediately note one of the main features of Atomic Wallet: we only register once and get the wallet addresses for the main platforms with private keys.
This is very convenient, isn't it?
In general, the interface can say the following: very simple, nothing superfluous, the program works without failures and is fairly easy, so the Windows installer weighs only about 100 MB.
Transfer Coins / Tokens
Everything is very simple here: we are looking for the necessary coin in the list of available ones, enter the quantity, the recipient's address and password, click Send — that's it.
Coin Exchange via Atomic Swap
This is the main "trick" of the wallet, as evidenced even by its name. Go to the Atomic Swap tab, choose which coin we give and which we get, click Place Order. For quite a short time, for example, your BTCs “turn” into LTC.
At the moment, there is a direct exchange between the three assets: BTC, LTC and QTUM; over time, their number will grow.
I especially emphasize: Atomic Swap allows you to directly change one coin for another without the need for an intermediary, i.e. in your Atomic Wallet there will be not just numbers on the screen opposite their symbols, like in any other centralized stock exchange, namely, coins with entries in the corresponding blockchain, etc.
Exchange
Finally, while the Atomic Wallet functionality is not available for all coins, you can use the exchange through the built-in exchange available on the Exchange tab.
Here you can make a quick exchange with the help of partner services Changelly (this, I recall, the project from the founder of Atomic Wallet Konstantin Gladysh) and ShapeShift.
