The developer for Adblock Plus claimed that they’ll be utilizing blockchain technology for their Trusted News browser extension as reported by Techcrunch on June 13.

Trusted News claim their browser add-on is able to detect fake news sources while marking more trustworthy stories as reliable. Once installed, the extension displays a small window containing a brief rating of the new source. The current rating system ranges from trustworthy, unknown, clickbait, and satire.
