Bitcoin City is Eligma’s vision that took off at BTC CITY, a shopping and business center in Slovenia, Central Europe. Hosting over 4,000 companies, which cater to 21 million visitors a year, BTC CITY is one of the largest of its kind. Partnering with Eligma, it will function as a testing lab for Eligma’s AI product discovery, blockchain transparency and transaction solutions, aimed at the average offline mall shopper and readily accessible through a mobile phone app.
EliPay – Eligma’s cryptocurrency gateway, will integrate cryptocurrencies into transactions at the BTC CITY stores. The offline mall shopping experience itself will be the same as before, consisting of the customer visiting the stores physically, browsing through their products and selecting the desired goods. At the cash register, one will be asked if they would like to make a cryptocurrency transaction. If that is the case, the sum will be converted into cryptocurrencies and a QR-code generated. The customer will then scan the QR-code, confirm the store transaction on the app and the funds will be transferred to the store’s account from the user’s crypto wallet, run on the Eligma platform. On April 15th 2018, the EliPay system will see its official launch.
By connecting the Eligma cognitive e-commerce platform with one of the most indispensable mainstream items – the mobile phone, launching it in a major shopping and business centre, and offering loyalty advantages for the use of Eligma’s applications, we aim to furnish the mall shopping experience with a new dimension. We firmly believe that the advantages offered by the blockchain should serve not only the online economic domain, but also the general public. The BTC CITY centre will function as a stepping stone toward developing Eligma into the best the AI- and blockchain-harnessing product possible in order to later make it one of the strongest e-commerce players on the global scale.
