The Original Blockchain Design is maturing, diversifying and forking into a plethora of platforms, tools, protocols, consensus models etc. Very evolutionary but also very fast.

This means that "blockchain" no longer is a singular thing but a word we use to describe the emergence of this next layer of the internet, the next protocol. It's the beginning of a new business cycle, exactly as the "dot.com" business cycle that kicked off 25 years ago. A phase shift.

Its technology base - the ever growing Blockchain Software Stack - allows for creation of Autonomous Systems which is an emergent property of this genius design. Bitcoin is the base-line example of such an Autonomous System, but only a fraction of what lies ahead.

It's a fact that the protocol absorbs Trust, Transfer and Settlement - and as this trinity is entangled in virtually anything we do it is logical that Blockchain will become a central backbone.

It is a paradigm shift - same as when HTML allowed for the web to be born i the 90´s and created gazillions in new value. In a phase shift you take a step up the value chain creating a new playing field and new style of game. This has happened before, now it happens again. It is observable for anyone. History rhymes.
