I'm also a programmer by the way but nevertheless here are my thoughts about your video:

Psychology plays a major part, no doubt about that. We saw a runup in altcoins since march and now we return to the mean, what is absolutely necessary if we want a sustainable growth in the future.

The thing is... why now? I still think that the majority doesn't understand what BIP91 is and think that something horrible could happen to Bitcoin in august, but that won't be the case. If segwit gets locked in at the 23th of july, I guess we will see the next rally until the same uncertanty starts again in the end of october and the possible hardfork because of segwit2x.
