I think Chinese people like EOS for it is expected a future competitor of Ethereum or even replacement of Ethereum. Yes, China is more authoritarian than some western countries, however, who cares? The most important thing is to make money, to enjoy life. EOS is meaning to create a distributed system, it doesn't care if government is involved or not.
