NEO developer community (CoZ) Weekly Report #5 - 2017.08.07
City of Zion (CoZ) is a group of open source developers that formed to support NEO. We provide weekly reports that summarize our goals, projects, and progress. In exchange, the NEO council is supporting these contributions through NEO rewards.

Campaigns:
We need experienced Stack Exchange users (more than 200 of reputation) that want to be active in our community to commit to the proposal. You can find it here

Opportunities for collaboration, projects in intial stage:
- Neo Python (Python p2p node/SDK) has seen great development it is already syncing blocks:
- Reworked networking for nodes to use Twisted framework for p2p connections
- Serialization / Deserialization of all transaction types and sub data structures as well as Smart Contract objects
- Persist block headers and full block objects in LevelDB key-value store
- Added Travis CI as well as Coverage. 51% testing coverage
Virtual Machine and Smart Contract Developments
- Template ERC20/223 Token
- ‘Deploy’, ‘BalanceOf’, ‘TotalSupply’, and ‘Transfer’ Events Verified
- Development GUI now supports Runtime Logging and Return of SC Invokes
- Neo.Ecosystem & Neo.Sandbox development environments released.
Ecosystem:
- New CoZ Neo Portal, a place where we will organize community contributions.
Documentation (docs.neo.org):
- Dutch White Paper 2.0 Translation
- Porting of rebrand of documentation (mainly en-us) with community help
- Japanese translations of NeoContract white paper and additional documentation
- Korean translation of NeoContract white paper
Core Development:
- Neon Wallet one button Gas claim + ability to see unspent GAS.
- Neon Wallet REST API support for multi-party claims.
- NeoScan.io Block Explorer has seen continued work and is approaching mass availability.
- Neo Unit Tests - Testing of the core Neo project continues steadily.
Another week past, don't forget to visit us in cityofzion.io. Some important work in smart contract, python client and explorer are reaching the turning point for release, stay tuned for next week report.

Today I made my first PR for issue/43 and will make some others in the next days! I hope to spendo most of my freetime on CoZ :)

Interesting article. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Some people say it's a high risk market but if you're willing to hold your coins with a 2 to 5 year vision I bet the risk might not seem that high by then :-).
