Blockchain Nordic - A nordic exchange platform

If you have somehow stumbled upon this then you have reached the official company page of Blockchain Nordic, so welcome, I guess.

To kick things off, let me introduce myself, my name is Jamie, and I am an online marketeer and part-time blogger. Online marketeering is, funnily enough, also my position at the digital asset investment company, Blockchain Nordic.

That's all I'll​ say about myself, for now.

Let us look at Blockchain Nordic, who are we, what do we do and how do we do what we do?

Blockchain Nordic started out as an investment fund in Q4 of 2017, in the second largest city of Denmark. The idea behind the company was to create a platform that focuses on user-friendliness, low-risk investing as well as a gateway into the world of blockchain technology and cryptocurrencies. Basically, making digital asset investment available for all.

Aside from offering an exchange platform for individual cryptocurrencies, Blockchain Nordic has created its own, equally-weighted, Digital Asset Array (DAA), namely, Blockchain Nordic Index (BNX). I won't go into too much more detail about what a Digital Asset Array is in this post, nor why we decided to focus on an equally-weighted solution and not market value​. This will be in my next blog post.

So, what is this Blockchain Nordic Index (BNX) and why did we create it?

It came about way back when Blockchain Nordic started and was the first product available. We wanted to create an investment product which focuses on the new digital asset investor by aiming to minimise the investment risk in an otherwise volatile and risky environment. It is comprised of 5 development applications (Ethereum, EOS, ICON, Qtum, ​and Lisk) and 3 digital currencies (Bitcoin, XR, ​ and Monero), which are equally distributed.

Fast forward 6 months into the Blockchain Nordic project.

We are looking to expand our online presence as well as our physical presence by moving headquarters to London, UK and opening new offices in Copenhagen and Spain. With this expansion, 5 cryptocurrencies were added on the​ platform, meaning users can trade on a daily basis, these cryptocurrencies are; Bitcoin, Ripple, Ethereum, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. Over time and upon popular demand more currencies will be added.

Present day

Blockchain Nordic has added new assets and a new service, specifically, we have added EOS, Zilliqa, ​and Tezos, which are available only through Over-the-Counter (OTC) deals.
