Two Russian men were charged by the US Department of Justice with conspiring to steal 647,000 Bitcoin from Mt. Gox, a former Bitcoin exchange.

The men are also accused of operating BTC-e, a crypto exchange that was shut down by the FBI in 2017 for allegedly laundering funds for international criminals.

The charges could result in lengthy prison sentences for the two men.
