arsTechnica - Hackers drain bitcoin ATMs of $1.5 million by exploiting 0-day bug
Over the weekend, more than $1.5 million in bitcoins were compromised from CASes operated by General Bytes.
The corporate IP address space maintained by the DigitalOcean cloud host was scanned and identified by the attackers.
A malicious program is then run on the server and the attacker transfers funds from the hot wallet to the attacker's wallet.
