Thank you for bringing some context to this thread. Systemic societal racism is the problem. I think Laci Green explains this really well in her "IS RACISM OVER YET?" video. Before desegregation, white America had created ghettoized communities through a process called redlining, which funneled wealth from Federal credit into white communities exclusively. These areas have money to build better schools, infrastructure, and housing.

Redlining can still be seen today, just look at the price of auto insurance for a Detroit resident, a community of 83% black residents. I use a different address for my insurance, because the cost would double if I switched it to my Detroit address.

I also believe that the housing market for an area is still negatively effected by a black resident moving into a predominately white neighborhood.
