**Black Panther, the first film to be shown in Saudi Arabia since 1980**
The cinemas were forbidden.
It's a small revolution. A new cinema will open in Saudi Arabia, in the capital Riyadh, on April 18th. Since 1980, the laws of the country, very conservative, cinemas were prohibited. And to inaugurate the new hall, it is the movie of superhero Black Panther which was chosen. The film, best rated on Rotten Tomatoes in the superhero category, is a worldwide success. He has brought back more than a billion dollars since his release!
A few months ago, Prince Mohammed bin Salman announced his wish to end the ban on cinemas, and announced the construction of a new complex in the capital. With 600 leather seats, balconies and marble toilets, this room managed by the giant AMC will be luxurious.
By 2030, the country will have 100 movie theaters, including 40 in the next five years.
