It has been quite a year, this 2020! And I understand that now Ebola — perhaps upset at having been sidelined by Covid — is trying to make a comeback.

My favorite meme-ish thing I received this week (via Farcebook) was a long LONG list of all the things we've latched onto as likely to kill us all, since 1966. Microwaves, remote controls, holes in the ozone layer, totally melted ice caps by 1985, 2002 and 2018. Run out of oil by 1998. SARS. Bird flu.

Definitely many shades of grey here... so many false (or dubious) narratives out there...
