RE: Unredacted Black Book - Illusionist David Copperfield's Private Fantasy Island Musha Cay

Good work as always! Aside from the specifics of this case, something tugs at my mind as I think about Copperfield having a billion dollars. If he really achieved that from doing magic shows - his shows must be amazingly good... I can only remember seeing a couple of things in my entire life that were on TV and I assumed to be camera tricks. Here's the thing - with magic tricks there's only really two possibilities:

  1. He is an expert deceiver and thus fundamentally a professional liar.
  2. He actually can achieve 'magic' that goes beyond normal human ability.

In both cases, there is significant risk that he will abuse people without being detected. If he can really deceive so well, wouldn't it be highly questionable as to how he came by a billion dollars!? A billion is a massive number!

I'm sure some of the people who are exposing ritual magic in the context of quantum science and related fields will have some things to say on all of this.

Absolutely, I have been wondering the same things. I was not able to find any direct connections to Epstein or a wider criminal group for this post but if his name IS in the black book, then there must be a reason for this. It's plain to see the ties to Maxwell, Wexner and Brunel but this one is more obscured. And as you say, if he's a master liar and deceiver then maybe we should be looking closer at how it is that he was able to amass such a fortune.

There are some hints in the flight logs that show trips to the Bahamas by Epstein's pilots and Copperfield's islands are located halfway between Palm Beach and Little Saint James. Definitely something to think about and with so much info coming out everyday, then maybe some hints as to Copperfield's relationship with Epstein might be partially revealed.

I'm sure that not everyone in that book is involved in the kinds of crimes that Epstein was accused of - he must have known innocents too. However, as you pointed out, there are so many parallels between him and Copperfield that it has to be looked into.
Ultimately, deception is the name of the game when it comes to 'secret services'.

Agreed, just want to reiterate the point though that Copperfield is one of the few hand written entries by the butler and who's name did NOT appear in the redacted version. So as far as I can tell, there's so sort of special connection there.

Ordinarily hand written entries in a printed address book might just signify that the information was newer than the latest version of the printed book. I'd like to know who redacted the book and who released it later - do you know?

I believe it was Gawker or The Daily Mail that first published the Black Book in 2015. Nick Bryant author of the Franklin Scandal had a copy of the black book for years but he couldn't find an outlet interested in publishing the contents.

(The existence of the book has been previously reported by the Daily Mail. Gawker is publishing it in full here for the first time; we have redacted addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, and the last names of individuals who may have been underage victims.)

The article claims that this is the full version but when you compare the contents we can see that there are pages left out and also the pages containing the handwritten notes.

But not before he had, according to the FBI affidavit laying out the crime, marked up the book and an accompanying notepad with "handwritten notes" that contained "information material to the underlying investigation that would have been extremely useful in investigating and prosecuting the case, including the names and contact information of material witnesses and additional victims."

When Rodriguez met with the FBI and handed over the black book he also handed over the notepad explaining that there were individuals how were not included in the black book which were implicated in crimes. The handwritten notes were add-ons made by Rodriguez.

Ah, thanks, I remember now - yes. So much information in this case to keep track of!
At least Rodriguez is still alive to answer the question - for now!

No, he's dead. Extremely rare form of cancer.

Ah yes, I remember that too now. I am building a spreadsheet of all the characters - it's over 100 so far and not even half way through the mint press pieces!
