Black Desert Online. Usefull tips.

Greetings!

Lets get into some usefull tips for Black desert. The game is amazing but also very confusing and annoying to get into. These will be some very quick and basic tips to make your life in Black Desert a bit easier. Lets get straight to it!

1. More quests!
   As a default all quests but combat quests are turned off, which means all non combat quests won't show up at all, even if you're talking to the NPC that gives it. To turn this on, hover over your quests on the right of your screen and turn them on with the little icons on top. Or go in your Quest settings and turn them on there at the top of the window. Or go in your quest log and turn them on there, also on top of the window. And voila, you can now see and accept all types of quests, or whatever quests you turn on.

2. Announcement spam
   So are you sick of all the damn announcements the games throws at you in large letters in the middle of your screen? Good news! You can turn it all off. go to Settings-->Game-->Turn off system notification. Here you can turn off all notifications or just those you don't want. Now you can see the world again!^^

3. Life Skill advancement
   At certain lvls in your life skills you can get quests that enable you to do more in that skill. For instance smelt steel. To easily see if you're able to do one of these quests and get a pointer towards the NPC that gives it. Summon your Black Spirit, Click on Guides, and select what advancement quest you wish to start. No option there? Then you'll need to lvl some more.

4. Screen shake
   So you must have noticed the screen shaking whenever you get hit/hit something. You can determine the intensity of this Under setttings-->screen-->Camera Shake Setting. Here are also all the other effects. (Increase your Vision Range for a bigger Field of view)

5. Item search.
   If you want to know how/where to get an item, what a certain item needs to craft or anything like that. You can click F2, this opens a window where you can search for most items in game (it's upper/lower case sensitive!) Or you shift lift click on the item in your inventory.

6. Storage.
   Storage between city's is NOT linked. If you lost something, it might be in the bank of a previous city.

7. Skill binds.
   So black Desert has you use certain skill commands to execute skills, like Shift+left click. Learn and use these commands. Using them from your hotbar will reduce their potency and efficency.

8. Energy
   Energy is used for gathering and quite a few other things. It's usefull to build up your energy a bit. You do this by discovering new things. This includes: Meeting new people, gathering a new recoruse, learning about a new monster and a few more. Discover as much as you can! Don't skip by to many things.

9. Contribution points.
   So you get contribution points by doing quests and a couple other things. Spend them! Use them! Every contribution point you spend you can just get back whenever you want. If you don't know what to use it on, it doesn't matter. Anything is better then having them unspend. There's no danger at all in using them. (Use them in cities for more storage in the bank for instance)

10. Nodes.
    Try and learn about the node system. This links directly into the previous point as this is where you spend alot of your contribution points. It's used for trading between cities, securing a site for workers to do their job and alot more. I'll put up a guide on this later on.

11. AFK
    There's alot of things you can do when not at your PC. You can chop 500 logs with 1 command, and this takes a while. Or gather up a ton of water in bottles. Run your horse back and forth in a loop to train it, or you can sleep in a bed to get your energy back faster. and there are so so many other things to do AFK. You don't have to do this ofcourse. But in most cases it'll give you free income and speed up your skill lvling.

12. Run and eat.
    Ooh yes, even running and eating lvls your skills. Eat every time you can and you'll end up with more HP! And the more you run, the more stamina you'll have to sprint and use certain abilities.

13. Take it easy.
    There is so so much to do in Black Desert. Unlike most MMOs you don't need to rush to the last lvl before the game really starts. If you rush you'll miss alot of things. Take your time to explore the world and try all the things black desert has to offer. Everything you do in the game on the way to the top will help you out. You'll have more contribution points/energy, higher hp and stamina. And above all you'll have more money. Silver brings you a long way in Black desert. You'll need cash to upgrade gear/get potions/a good horse and so much more. The world runs on it. And being a high lvl means nothing in black desert without some decent gear. And gold is needed for that.
    But above all it whould be a waste to skip so much of this beautifull world. Drink it all in and find out what you want to do, combat is not all there is here and neither is your lvl.
