Support @ BITT Initiative
I am @josyextrao. I am the founder of BITT Initiative. BITT stands for 'Be Informed to Transform'. Our aim is to raise a well informed Ghanaian youth who will use information to transform their lives and the society at large in the area of leadership .
To this end, we are embarking on a literary campaign in some selected schools in the Accra metropolises. During the campaign we will distribute reading and learning materials to the students from the lower primary level to the high school level.
Illiteracy in Ghana is a canker and BITT Initiative is here to help combat it.
Please come on board and let's raise an enlightened African youth, a well informed Ghanaian youth, and a well read generation!
Your support will be much appreciated and it will go a long way to make this noble cause see the light of day.
I hope you have sponsorship to promote this.
I hope so too. Thanks @fredkese
I think @thejohalfiles and @teamsteem and maybe even @stellabelle and @surfyogi even @neoxian would like this, maybe just spice it up with some "fintech" aka Financial Technology, mix some mention of Steem Blockchain and how you will teach people computer and blockchain literacy as well. Now THAT could become a big project for steemit inc! @dan and @ned would like that if we could show steemit inc as responsible for uplifting millions into computer literacy and make them all future steem users for the network! I upvoted and resteemed!
I have a feeling that if you promote the works of Ayn Rand and her Objectivist ideas like Selfishness as a Virtue and how "Altruism": will destroy a project or a person, and how people need to create value for themselves and not for the "collective" then I bet @mughat will Support the project with upvotes on select posts that are 100% about promoting Ayn Rand's Objectivism
And in our opinion Africa is the MOST in need of these views. To much mysticism and bad ideas are keping the people from producing the MOST value. I once heard @mughat say "(because of cryptocurrency) The productive man will have a lot of power in the future" his discord is here https://discord.gg/kHrAMA2
Anyway I think you should ALSO involve STEEM into this project STRESS the idea of new users doing Book reports to help practice writing skills, with the best new writers getting the biggest upvotes similar to a sort of @wafrica or @artzone type curation guild idea like @surfyogi has going on and we REALLY need to integrate STEEM into this project more
flesh it out and @josyextrao I Upvoted and resteemed but I REALLy need you to consider adding a framework, an outlkine, a BUSINESS Plan to explain just how you will be different than other groups out there looking for support
You must have something special that makes your idea PROFITABLE and not just in helping people but you ned to imagien a wayy you can get BTC holders to invest in SPO and delegate to you in exchange for some rewards similar to how @dmania and @zombee its creator offers or something like that!
You must lkeverage your future work power so maybe in exchange for steempower or delegation you promise to give a big whale access to potential tens of thousand of new users you could on board? So many ways you could do this, maybe the posts about helping improve literacy both offline and online literacy, can be profitable on the trending page so imagine if we invest in this for the promise of making money on trending posting about it? That is one method!
This project looks great and just give DAILY updates and REALLY REALLy don't go a STEP further without VIDEOS you MUST upload a DAILY video or if DATA is too much of a concern upload an AUDIO clip then on https://dsound.audio (login with posting key ) make sure you give us an UPDATE everyday about the work you did to promote this project online and off and you WILL find great success with it!
Is there a public library in Accra?
Everyone must know about this...keep it up @josyextrao
Thanks
Thanks a lot for this supportive program. @josyextrao
Thanks too
Happy to see a new initiative, that is sth more than money-making scheme!
Thanks.
Peace and Blessings @josyextrao I wish you much success on your efforts to improve literacy rates in Ghana. Is English the primary language being taught in Ghanaian schools?
@lefthandlead, English is our lingua franca in Ghana.
Same here in the US, thanks for sharing. I am curious to know if literacy scores are different if not taken in English...
Standard tests are taken in English.
