Bitshares - State of the Network - 10th October 2017
The Bitshares State of the Network Reports seeks to combine raw data from a wide range of metrics and combine them into meaningful information to identify emerging trends and changes in the Bitshares network.
Observation from this week
This section will highlight any observations made while analysing the data.
Bitshares will no longer be trading on Bittrex after the 13th of October! If you still have a balance on the exchange you should transfer them out immediately. Need an account? Use the official cloud wallet HERE (Username and Password to sign up - it's that simple)
@billbutler has announced a new release of the Bitshares reference wallet (v2.0.171009), announcement can be found HERE. This release focuses on the commonly known 'account model'; presenting it as a cloud wallet, This cloud wallet will allow users to signup/signin to Bitshares with a familiar username and password method. This will take a lot of complexity out of creating an account and is a great move forward. You can view the new Bitshares cloud wallet HERE.
40 Million BTS has moved from top 100 (mainly from Exchanges) to accounts outside the top 100. This is good news in terms of having a wider distribution!, top 100 personal holders (not exchanges) have also increased by 6.4 Million and Balances held on exchanges are down ~47 Million BTS.
@stan has been busy with a number of interviews this week; you can use the following links to view the interviews Stan Larimer and Teresa Kuhn from the Living Wealthy radio show and Stan Larimer with Connie Willis from Blue Rock Talk
@richcg has released the final update for the new Bitshares website. You can see his progress HERE or view the preview of the website HERE
@kimchi-king has done an amazing post on his discovery of Bitshares and the power of the platform. @kimchi-king touches on some background and then digs into how you can make use of the DEX, key features of Bitshares, comparison against other leading projects, price analysis and heap more. This is an incredible effort and he has obviously put a lot of effort into sharing his views. Recommended reading for all, you can find the post HERE
This week has seen @xeroc move to the #1 vote proxy with @bitcrab in second place. Vote proxies are respected members of the community that other shareholders can delegate their voting power too, this allows the proxy to vote on behalf of those shareholders. Congratulations to @xeroc
@blockchained team is reporting, that now that their gateway Rudex was accepted upstream they've had time to add dark theme to their interface; add language detection, so when you first come to their site it shows you interface in your language; and also their trollbox now has Russian, English and Chinese telegram channels.

These reports are the best way to keep informed about BTS. Well done and thanks for the info.
There's too much to slog through on Telegram, actually the almost unused forum was much better. At least there things were organized according to topic! Would we not be better served to be back there?
Can't stand Telegram. Unstructured, unindexed noise.
Thank you so much for the shout out. It was pleasure to write the article. I will continue to support this great community and do everything in my power to spread the word about BitShares.
I highly recommend that any investors of Bitshares do the same because you have a direct affect on the value of each BTS.
Keep up the great work and as always, fantastic update.
Cheers,
Kevin Messerly
Iam following you boss. I like your crypto content
Hey Big Guy! Any thoughts on Cobinhood ? Another Decentralised exchange coming to market.
According to Telegram, there was a meeting with Bittrex Friday afternoon. They are talking. Nothing is changing at the moment. More information will be released next week. It would appear this is a positive development. It would appear that Bitshares may not be delisted.
thanks for posting
Its my favourite time of he week to catch up on all the news and thanks for the mention :)
Fantastic post @steempower very in depth, I am a new investor to Bitshares but very excited about the platform to say the least. It's furture is so bright in both the short and long term. @tonypeacock I was researching Bitshares thinking it has to be amazing because the Larimers' created it and I love Steemit as well as EOS. It was the great youtube video on your channel (amusingly right after I heard the news about the bittrex delisting) that helped me wipe away the FUD from my visor and see the sleeping giant Bitshares is! Thanks again. Off to buy more while it's still on sale
Also, it is absurd to see how the BTS price is dropping down while it should ideally just go up if in a moment like this (BTC has just touched the $5800 ATH) when lots of people should want to use a DEX instead of a CEX...
Thanks for the update. Lots of interesting info.
Thanks for posting. I hope Bitshares recovers soon...
Simply buy more while it's still on sale. Everyone who has done their research and still in the loop knows it's only a matter of time before the sleeping giant that is Bitshares wakes up and never gets on it's knees again!
Yeah, but I do wonder how much time before it goes to the moon, I don't see it as much as a long-term hold. But hey I'm just an amateur, so I will just buy some and hope for the best :)
BTS can ONLY go up from 4 cents. It is a fantastic short and long hold if you don't pay attention to the FUD. So buy enough that you can sell some for profit in both the short and long term as to not sell out your position anytime soon- because Bitshares is only just getting started!
yes it will
@steempower,
Next generation BitCoin we called as BTS now trading at $0.050475 (in CoinMarketCap). I think now it's time to recall the history! In 2020 I wish to see BTS at $5000!
Who is with me? Anyone else?
So, this report is the thing that I was awaiting the whole week to read! It's the BEST SUMMARY OF WHOLE WEEK BTS TRENDING NEWS!
Thank you very much for sharing such great article with us!
Let's bring BTS to the MOON!
Cheers~
BTS back to to .40 would be nice!
