One of the most exciting things about Sovereign Sky's space-based BEOS blockchain platform is the new applications it will host. In this article we will provide a sneak preview of RUON, a new comprehensive social media network and ecosystem app.

Why RUON is the Social Media Ecosystem for the Crypto Generation

After the launch of the internet over 30 years ago, today's digital citizens saw many revolutions in cyberspace. First with academic and recreational ideas and then for business, and with this came the rise of the dominant social media and service platforms that exist today such as Facebook, Instagram, Amazon and Netflix. We have not yet seen the end of history - the evolution and revolution continues - introducing RUON.

Currently, blockchain technology is at a similar stage to the advent of the internet, with its potential remaining largely unrealized. RUON, was launched by Sovereign Sky creator Timothy E. Burke at the World Crypto Con, Vegas in October 2018. Taking inspiration from Instagram, Facebook, WeChat and Bitcoin, RUON is a Social, Business and Chat application hosted on the BEOS hybrid space-based blockchain by Sovereign Sky, allowing all coins and Dapps across the EOS, Bitcoin, Stellar, Ethereum and Sovereign blockchains to talk to each other. Add to this, a philanthropic element of RUON, Sovereign Sky (and its coin, SovereignCoin) is the Planet's first spaced-based blockchain powering a new "Free World Currency" which will provide and protect our children, save and preserve our wildlife and aim to eradicate global poverty by 2032.

On December 3rd, 2018, SpaceQuest, the satellite developer and strategic partner, launched two of its micro-satellites on Spaceflights' SSO-A Smallsat Express from Vandenberg Air Force Base in the United States. These satellites, launched on Space X's falcon 9 are named BRIO and THEA, and were built and are owned by SpaceQuest of Virginia, the leading US government-level satellite solutions, components, and space data provider with decades of successful flight heritage. One of them will become the"BEOSnick 1" satellite hosting the first BEOS blockchain node in space on the Sovereign Sky network. RUON will be hosted on the Sovereign Sky BEOS network which is envisioned to grow to cover the earth with space to ground internet and blockchain smart contract service.
