What are the signals? As stated in the news, these gateways were not in operation for a while and the reasons for disabling them is that the tech team is willing to ensure there are no non-active gateways, but the active ones operate fast enough. So, if you have any other concerns - the OpenLedger DEX team will be happy to cover them and provide all the required details
