Beneath the Ground Floor

Hello all!

I'm terrible at these kinds of introductions, but I would like to introduce myself and my company to the community, considering that I'm building it on the BitShares platform, and this is THE PLACE, man.

Anywho, Ladies, Gentleman, et. al.,: My name is P.J. Reilly. I'm a publisher, writer, and now entrepreneur and investor. I've been thinking long and hard about the many ills that plague society, particularly the systemic ones deep in the bones of our culture (misogyny, racism, poverty, and other forms of power abuse). I'm particularly interested in problems so huge they seem insoluble, and it is my work to assemble imaginative, brilliant minds to think OUTSIDE the problems to see alternative solutions. Blockchain tech offers all kinds of opportunity for restructuring socioeconomic dynamics into a more just and equitable world, and I see possibilities as yet unimagined in its elegance and efficiency.

For example, we could build an entire secondary economy to help insulate our savings against market crashes; or we could raise money in ICOs to buy and forgive student debt; or we could help build entire financial infrastructures for struggling emerging economies. The possibilities for building a far better world are virtually endless.

A website is under construction, as the project takes shape so will its online presence. This idea is in its very infancy; I'm primarily posting here to put the word out for like-minded people. It's my humble conclusion, based on long observation, that our current economic paradigm is untenable and likely to fall apart soon; my interest is in building a financial bulwark that can weather market collapses and, God willing, be in a position to rebuild the world in a better image. Forgive my opacity — but then, it's hard to say what, exactly, it is that we're going to do when the plan is to do anything we can imagine.

I'll be around to provide regular updates as teams come together, money gets raised, and visions become reality. For now —and this is the fun part—the company (called URTHONA, for the spirit of creativity in William Blake's mythology) is trading on the DEX for roughly the price of one BitShare (around $0.15 at the time of this writing).
