Bitshares user interface

Let me first say i love bitshares and want to see this technology succeed. Chronos just did a fantastic video on DPOS and I couldnt agree more that BitShares deserves to be valued a lot more.

It is my belief that the user interface needs a better look. I know some agree and other dont, but first impressions count and i think at some point in the future we should consider having the community all participate on a new design. I did not say features, im just talking about the look and feel of the wallet, how easy it is to use and understand and the Bitshares website.

As an example, look at Monero. The front page of the website tells me exactly what is in one short paragraph. Scroll down and i can download my client and a copy of the entire blockchain. It smart, clean works on my ipad, iphone, and in different browsers.

The client is very pleasing on the eye and very intuitive. I dont need to look up a term to understand something.

Now with all that said i know bitshares is more complicated and does more. But i just dont think that the we have done the best job and explaining what it is and once youre in the wallet/exchange how to use it. Im not a day trader and spent an 30 minutes figuring out how to buy a smartcoin.

This post is not intended to disparage anyone or the efforts up till now. Im not saying monero have it right either, but our product is better. Why are we not doing better? Just my 2 cents that its at least partly the above.
