My 2500 dollar loss on bitconnect

I had won some money gambling with ethereum, I turned 1 which at the time was 482 dollars into 16. Over the course of that week eth had shot up to 870 back into December and I decided to throw 2500 into the wind. I of course had doubts but I was just hoping to beat the storm and get in while I felt was still a time I could of made money. The day I saw that they had shut down and paid us realistically 8% of what we should of got I was furious..I couldn't even believe that it just shut down like that... I know people lost 25k, 50k, 100k or more and I feel bad for them but I am hoping that these lawsuits may help the little guys like myself. What is everyone's thoughts here?
