There may be some light at the end of a very dark tunnel for Bitconnect holders; the latest statement from BitConnect states that they will honour a price of $150 per bcc if the victims transfer to the new Bitconnectx ico platform.

This may well be the only chance to gain some value from a token which has become virtually worthless due to the cessation of the lending programme.

Whether they want to or not is debatable but is the only chance they have to salvage some value.
Users have so far been unable to log in to the new Bitconnectx platform, hopefully this will be rectified.

Many victims will be out of luck already , they acted quickly and withdrew bcc tokens and sold them for a fraction of their worth on exchanges such as hit-btc.

Whether BitConnect was a genuine Ponzi scheme or not is also up for debate, all indications show that it was brought down by a combination of external factors. The cease and desist letters from America and the constant DDOS attacks rumoured to be orchestrated by vival lending platforms seem to have been the straw that broke the camels back.
These agents may have acted with good intentions, but the fact remains even if BitConnect was a Ponzi scheme it was brought down early and over a million victims have lost a lot of money
