BitConnect has been handed an emergency cease and desist order from Texas Securities Board
The Securities Commissioner of the state of Texas has filed an emergency cease and desist order for the BitConnect on Thursday 2018/1/4. The Texas State Securities board accuses the London-based investment platform of fraud and the selling of unlicensed securities.

If this is true, it's justice at it's finest. I feel bad for all those people who will get their coin stolen when bitconnect pulls the plug and disappears though =(
